In her new role at ModMed, Rishika is positioned to leverage her extensive experience in Revenue Cycle Management, operational delivery, client engagement, quality, workforce leadership, and process improvement to contribute to the organization’s continued focus on efficient and technology-enabled healthcare operations.
A New Chapter at ModMed
Rishika began her latest leadership chapter in August 2026, joining ModMed as Director RCM.
The appointment represents the next step in a career built around the complex and evolving world of healthcare revenue cycle operations. Over the years, she has developed expertise across multiple stages of the RCM ecosystem, including accounts receivable, insurance and patient AR, eligibility and benefits, client escalations, process transitions, compliance, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
Her move to ModMed follows more than six years at R1 RCM, where she progressed through multiple leadership roles and ultimately served as a Director.
This transition represents a natural continuation of a career defined by progressive responsibility and a consistent focus on improving operational outcomes.
Building a Strong Foundation in Revenue Cycle Management
Rishika’s healthcare operations journey gained momentum at Span Medicare, where she served as Team Lead AR from February 2007 to November 2011.
In this role, she developed hands-on experience in accounts receivable operations, team coordination, workflow management, training, compliance, and client communication.
Her responsibilities included reviewing team performance, delegating work, coordinating daily operations, responding to client queries, and helping streamline standard operating procedures.
She also gained exposure to medical billing platforms, including Medical Manager, MicroMD, and AdvancedMD, strengthening her understanding of the operational and technological dimensions of healthcare billing.
This early stage of her career provided the foundation for her later progression into increasingly complex leadership roles.
Expanding Expertise Across AR and Eligibility & Benefits
In 2012, Rishika joined Medimax Offshore Services Pvt. Ltd. as Team Lead Operations for AR and Eligibility & Benefits.
The role expanded her responsibilities beyond accounts receivable into broader process oversight, training, compliance, productivity, quality, and client reporting.
She was responsible for managing operational teams supporting both AR and Eligibility & Benefits processes while maintaining a strong focus on performance indicators and service delivery.
Her work involved conducting team huddles, providing performance feedback, identifying training requirements, coordinating with clients, and implementing strategies designed to improve process efficiency.
This phase of her career strengthened her ability to combine operational execution with people leadership–two capabilities that would remain central to her professional growth.
Strengthening Operational Leadership at IKS Health
Rishika joined IKS Health in 2014, where she continued to build her expertise in healthcare operations and Revenue Cycle Management.
She initially served as Operations Team Lead before progressing to the role of Assistant Manager Operations.
As an Operations Team Lead, she oversaw teams supporting Insurance AR, Patient AR, and client escalation processes. Her responsibilities extended across operations, training, compliance, client servicing, performance management, and workflow improvement.
She also contributed to the creation of SOPs and process documentation, developed dashboards for corporate reporting, participated in regular client meetings, and monitored key operational metrics, including SLAs and KPIs.
Her focus on reducing cycle time, improving productivity, identifying risks, and addressing training gaps demonstrated an increasingly strategic approach to operational management.
The progression to Assistant Manager further broadened her experience in client transitions, operational delivery, accounts receivable management, and end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management processes.
Driving Operations and Quality at HGS
In February 2017, Rishika joined HGS – Hinduja Global Solutions as Manager Operations & Quality.
At HGS, she continued to deepen her experience across process management, operational delivery, team leadership, quality, and client servicing within the U.S. healthcare domain.
Her role involved managing operational deliverables while identifying potential risks associated with project metrics and SLAs.
A particularly important area of her experience was managing end-to-end transitions for Revenue Cycle Management processes.
Successful transitions require a combination of structured planning, stakeholder coordination, process knowledge, workforce readiness, risk management, and performance monitoring. Rishika’s experience in this area added another important dimension to her leadership profile.
Her career at this stage reflected an ability to operate across both the strategic and executional sides of healthcare operations.
A Journey of Progressive Leadership at R1 RCM
One of the most significant chapters of Rishika’s career was her tenure at R1 RCM, where she spent more than six years progressing through increasingly senior leadership positions.
She joined the organization as Senior Manager Operations in January 2020.
Her career progression at R1 RCM followed a clear upward trajectory:
Senior Manager Operations → Operations Delivery Leader/AGM → Associate Director → Director
In January 2022, she moved into the role of Operations Delivery Leader/AGM, taking on broader responsibilities in operational delivery and leadership.
In January 2024, she was promoted to Associate Director, reflecting continued professional growth and increased leadership responsibility.
She subsequently became Director in October 2025, a role she held until joining ModMed in August 2026.
This progression demonstrates a career built on experience, consistent performance, and the ability to take on increasingly complex responsibilities within the healthcare RCM environment.
