Brijesh Vats is recognized across the global engineering community as a leader who blends technical mastery with strategic foresight. His professional journey reflects deep-rooted expertise across highways, rail, aviation, tunnels, ports, and transportation structures — coupled with a visionary approach to digital integration and design excellence.
Prior to joining Assystem, Brijesh spent over nine impactful years at Jacobs, one of the world’s foremost infrastructure consultancies. There, he spearheaded several large-scale engineering and design initiatives, playing a pivotal role in shaping the global delivery model.
As GID Director and Head of Sector – Transportation, Brijesh led 700 professionals delivering complex infrastructure solutions across multiple domains, while also providing functional leadership to 1,500 global delivery experts within the Building and Infrastructure Business Unit. His tenure was marked by a focus on innovation, efficiency, and operational excellence, positioning Jacobs’ India teams as a cornerstone of global project success.
Championing Digital Delivery and Integrated Project Management
Brijesh’s leadership extended beyond traditional engineering boundaries. As Director – GID, Digital Delivery and Head of Rail, and later as Director – GID, Digital Delivery and Head of Project Controls, he drove the digital transformation of infrastructure delivery — harnessing emerging technologies to improve quality, predictability, and performance.
He also played key roles as:

His early career reflects a strong grounding in core civil and transportation engineering through contributions at:
- Artefact Projects Limited (2003–2005) – Highway and pavement design, traffic analysis, and feasibility studies.
- Sowil Limited (2002–2003) – Highway and rail design engineering.
- STUP Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (2000–2002) – Field engineering and on-site supervision of highway projects.
- ERA Infra Engineering Limited (1999–2000) – Site Engineer and Trainee Engineer for a major thermal power plant project.
