A Distinguished Journey at State Street

Ross’s journey with State Street began in 2017 when he took on the role of Vice President – Head of Middle Office & Custody Operations, India. Over the next seven years, he transformed the organization’s India operations into a hub of efficiency and innovation. He successfully orchestrated the AIS offshore transition from the US to India, ensuring operational continuity while building new capabilities in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Under his leadership, a workforce of more than 200 professionals flourished. Ross empowered Vice Presidents, Subject Matter Experts, Developers, and Business Analysts to innovate, embrace change, and adopt advanced technologies. His focus on efficiency and digital transformation yielded outstanding results, including a 20% efficiency gain for the WSO/Bank Debt team through process redesign and automation.

His ability to balance strategic foresight with operational depth has made him a trusted leader within State Street’s global network. By strengthening cross-border collaboration with teams in Poland, China, and the US, he embedded automation and digital-first strategies into the company’s operational DNA.

Leadership Beyond Borders

Before his India leadership chapter, Ross built a rich career across Dublin and London, contributing to hedge funds, asset managers, and global financial institutions. At International Fund Services (Ireland) Ltd – A State Street Company, he served as Assistant Vice President, AIS Middle Office, where he led operations for OTC derivatives and macro hedge funds. His leadership extended to managing escalations, improving workflows, and automating trade confirmation processes—efforts that significantly enhanced client satisfaction.

He also contributed as a Financial Services Consultant with Key Capital Ltd and Lombard Street Research, where he played a critical role in setting up a start-up hedge fund venture, advising on trade processes, FX hedging, and NAV reviews. His entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on expertise enabled seamless fund launches and operational readiness.

At Chirin Capital LLP, Ross held the dual role of Head of Operations and Assistant Portfolio Manager, managing investment operations and providing direct advisory support on portfolio strategies. His experience extended across Asia-Pacific markets, where he advised on socio-political developments and executed trades across equities, ETFs, ADRs, and derivatives.

Earlier in his career, Ross sharpened his expertise in investment operations at UBP – Union Bancaire Privée, managing trade execution and fund-of-funds portfolios. At Custom House Administration and Montgomery-Oppenheim Ltd., he built his grounding in fund accounting and administration. This strong foundation prepared him for a global career defined by resilience, adaptability, and leadership excellence.
