Based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, Takkar brings extensive experience in building technology practices, developing global business strategies, managing large-scale P&Ls, strengthening client relationships, and driving growth across enterprise technology ecosystems.

His career journey includes senior leadership roles at PwC, Accenture, Wipro Technologies, Satyam, and DSCL, with a strong focus on Salesforce, cloud-enabled business solutions, CRM, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, and enterprise applications.

In his latest role, Takkar is positioned to lead PwC’s Global and US Salesforce business, building on his current leadership as Partner, Agentic Service Leader at PwC.

A New Chapter of Salesforce Leadership at PwC

In August 2026, Preet Takkar took on the role of Partner, Global & US Salesforce Leader at PwC.

The appointment represents a significant continuation of his long-standing association with Salesforce and PwC’s customer and digital transformation ecosystem.

As Salesforce continues to evolve from a customer relationship management platform into a broader enterprise technology and AI ecosystem, organizations are increasingly looking for leaders who can connect technology investments with business outcomes.

Takkar’s background across Salesforce consulting, cloud platforms, CRM, enterprise applications, and digital transformation provides a broad foundation for addressing these changing business requirements.

His mandate brings together strategic leadership, client transformation, technology innovation, and growth across PwC’s Salesforce capabilities in the global and US markets.

Leading PwC’s Agentic Services Agenda

Prior to becoming Global & US Salesforce Leader, Takkar had been serving as Partner, Agentic Service Leader at PwC since April 2025.

This role reflects his continued focus on the next generation of enterprise technology, where artificial intelligence, automation, intelligent workflows, and digital platforms are increasingly reshaping how organizations operate.

Agentic technology has the potential to move beyond traditional automation by enabling systems to perform tasks, coordinate processes, and support decision-making with greater autonomy.

For enterprises, realizing this potential requires more than technology implementation. It requires operating-model transformation, governance, integration, change management, and a clear connection between AI capabilities and business objectives.

Takkar’s extensive experience across technology platforms and business transformation positions him to help organizations navigate this transition.

A Strong Salesforce Foundation at PwC

Takkar’s relationship with PwC extends well beyond his current leadership roles.

He previously served as a Partner at PwC from July 2014 to 2018, as part of the firm’s Financial Services Customer & Digital Technologies team.

During this period, he served as a Salesforce.com competency leader, helping strengthen PwC’s capabilities around Salesforce consulting and customer-focused digital transformation.

Before becoming Partner, he served as Managing Director at PwC from August 2012 to July 2014, where he was part of PwC’s Business Applications competency and was responsible for building the firm’s Salesforce.com consulting capabilities.

These earlier roles provided a strong foundation for his return to PwC’s Salesforce leadership agenda.

His progression from building Salesforce consulting capabilities to leading the Global and US Salesforce business illustrates a long-term trajectory in enterprise customer technology.

Six Years of Transformation Leadership at Accenture

Establishing Practice Leadership at Wipro

Takkar joined Wipro’s leadership journey as Practice Manager – PeopleSoft Services in October 2005.

He was responsible for defining, positioning, and selling PeopleSoft solutions and services in North America, while also managing the Oracle Alliance relationship for the region.

The role provided an important foundation for his later global leadership positions.

It also demonstrated an early ability to combine technology expertise with commercial strategy and ecosystem management.

Building Enterprise Application Expertise at Satyam

Before Wipro, Takkar spent approximately five years at Satyam, serving as Practice Manager – PeopleSoft Services from 2000 to 2005.

His experience at Satyam contributed to the development of his enterprise application consulting and practice-management expertise.

PeopleSoft was an important component of enterprise technology environments during this period, and his work helped establish the foundation for his subsequent leadership across Oracle, PeopleSoft, CRM, cloud, Salesforce, and digital business solutions.

Early Product Management Experience at DSCL

Takkar began his listed professional journey at DSCL, where he served as Assistant Manager – Product Manager from 2000 to 2001.

This early exposure to product management gave him a foundation in understanding technology offerings, market requirements, business needs, and product positioning.

Over the years, these capabilities evolved into broader practice leadership, P&L management, enterprise consulting, technology strategy, and global business leadership.

From Enterprise Applications to Salesforce and AI

Takkar’s career reflects the evolution of enterprise technology itself.

His early experience centered on product management and enterprise applications, followed by PeopleSoft and Oracle leadership.

He subsequently expanded into CRM, cloud platforms, Workday, SaaS, Salesforce, and digital transformation.

Today, his responsibilities encompass Salesforce leadership and agentic services, representing the growing intersection between customer platforms, cloud technology, artificial intelligence, automation, and enterprise transformation.

His professional progression can be viewed as:

Product Management → PeopleSoft → Oracle ERP → CRM & Workday → Cloud & SaaS → Salesforce → Digital Transformation → Agentic Services → Global Salesforce Leadership

This breadth provides him with an understanding of how enterprise technology landscapes evolve and how organizations can adapt their technology strategies accordingly.

The Strategic Importance of Salesforce Leadership

Salesforce has become an important component of the modern enterprise technology landscape, supporting customer engagement, sales, service, marketing, analytics, data, and increasingly AI-driven experiences.

For consulting organizations, Salesforce transformation is no longer limited to implementing a CRM platform. It increasingly involves connecting customer data with broader enterprise systems, redesigning business processes, enabling intelligent automation, and creating measurable business outcomes.

Takkar’s extensive Salesforce experience, including his earlier responsibility for building PwC’s Salesforce consulting capabilities and serving as a Salesforce competency leader, provides a strong foundation for this broader mandate.

As Global & US Salesforce Leader, he is positioned to help shape how PwC supports organizations through this next phase of customer and digital transformation.

Connecting Technology With Business Value

A defining characteristic of Takkar’s career has been the combination of technology leadership with commercial responsibility.

Across Wipro and his other leadership positions, he has managed significant business portfolios, revenue-growth mandates, client relationships, delivery excellence, and P&L responsibilities.

This commercial orientation is increasingly important as technology leaders are expected to demonstrate measurable business value from digital investments.

Whether the focus is Salesforce, cloud, CRM, enterprise applications, or AI-enabled services, organizations need technology strategies that translate into improved customer experiences, operational efficiency, revenue growth, and sustainable competitive advantage.

Takkar’s career has consistently operated at this intersection.

Shaping the Future of AI-Enabled Enterprise Transformation

The convergence of Salesforce, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, automation, data, and digital platforms is creating a new generation of enterprise transformation opportunities.

Takkar’s current responsibilities across Salesforce and agentic services place him at the center of this transformation.

The next phase of enterprise technology is likely to focus increasingly on intelligent systems that can support employees, automate workflows, interpret business information, and enable organizations to respond more quickly to customers and markets.

Successfully adopting these capabilities will require strong technology foundations alongside thoughtful governance, strategic planning, organizational change, and responsible implementation.

Takkar’s experience across multiple technology generations provides a valuable perspective for organizations navigating this evolution.
